Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Perez.
Carly, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I was a little girl my father did “old school” marketing and advertising. We hand delivered flyers to homeowners door steps, we did events and worked promotions at the neighborhood malls with everything from being santa’s helpers to running carnivals to sidewalk sales. We created newspaper ads, faxed promotions out and did vacation and product box giveaways. I was always impressed with my fathers creativity and drive.
It wasn’t until I graduated and started working in the Advertising and marketing industry installing grocery store ads, aisle signs and manufacturers coupon machines that I realized it was my passion.
I worked well over a decade for a company where I managed the day to day marketing, collaborated with my design team, promoted the company and became obsessed with Marketing!
When the opportunity presented itself, I started my own business where I have had the pleasure of working with major manufacturers, nationwide entities, schools, non-profit businesses, local business and major corporations. I am truly blessed to have my own business but, even more blessed to wake up everyday doing what I absolutely love and that I am passionate about. I only wish my father had been alive to see what I have done..
Has it been a smooth road?
I have worked very hard to keep some of the same clients over the last 18 years. My business is 100% word of mouth and networking. I don’t advertise my business, instead, I focus on making our clients happy and showing positive results. I feel our work should sell itself.
When it comes to marketing a business, print, graphic design, web design, social media and digital marketing demands are ever changing and challenging. However, that doesn’t stop me, I work hard to stay in line with the current trends and help our costumers reach new prospects and take their business to the next level.

Divine Design & Marketing is a full service design and marketing company. Most marketing companies outsource their projects to freelance talent and overseas, but not us! We take pride in the fact that all of our team is in house locally in the NW suburbs of Chicago. We do not outsource our services, which in turn allows us to offer lower cost and quicker turn times.
Our services include everything from graphic design, website design, printing, mailing, social media, digital marketing, photography and all types of videos such as animated, corporate videos, training and tutorials videos shot nationwide.
We also have a unique niche in which we provide complete channel marketing support, concierge service and unique rebate/spiff and trade in programs. Everything is created in house from copy and design to execution. We have nearly two decades of experience working with manufacturers and their MDF including supplemental budgets as well.
Although I am the owner, I oversee all client projects from start to finish.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I was born and raised in Chicago and love it here. We are located in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago in a high rise building and we are fortunate to see our breathtaking Chicago skyline from our office!
I love Chicago because of the wonderful people, the many opportunities available and I highly recommend anyone starting out to have your business here as well.
