Meet Ben Cirrincione of Real Time Sports in Elk Grove Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ben Cirrincione.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always been in the restaurant business. My family began our first restaurant in 1967 in Chicago. We have since grown to 7 restaurants and 2 banquet halls. After graduating with a degree in Economics from Rollins College in 2003, I began managing our location in Florida. After working in Florida for 5 years, my wife and I moved to the Chicago area in 2008. At that time, I began working at Real Time Sports in Elk Grove Village. I learned a lot working in Florida, but I learned quickly that Real Time was more my speed. A fast-paced sports bar with tons of TVs was exactly where I needed to be. As my experience grew, I began overseeing other locations while running Real Time.

Currently, I am involved in running Belvedere Events and Banquets in Elk Grove Village, Biagio Events, Catering and Banquets in Chicago, Legno in Chicago and Mia Gelato in Chicago. This responsibility presents new challenges every day and I love what I do.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The restaurant business always has its struggles. In this business we always have our challenges with staff. From servers to managers its always difficult to find the right people that want to put in the same hours of dedication that you do. The hours are long and the customer is always right! Sometimes that can make the job a little more challenging!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Real Time Sports – what should we know?
Real Time Sports bar located in Elk Grove Village is a sports bar like you have never seen before. With over 50 flat screen TVs and one huge screen, we offer all sports games minute by minute. Unbelievable food and awesome drink specials keep our customers coming back for more.

We have a full menu and we are known in the area for our food. From double jointed wings to great salads to prime rib to smoked ribs, we have something for everyone.

When you want to watch an event on TV, Real time is the place. We feature most PPV events and all the major sports packages.

I am most proud of our food. There is no sports bar in the Chicagoland area that has food as good as we do.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Hard work and dedication. You can’t succeed in a restaurant if you are not there and I spend a lot of time here!
