Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Bugaj and Artur Kaczmarek.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Anna and Artur. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We are a true homegrown architectural boutique firm, with both of us getting our master degrees in architecture from University of Illinois at Chicago. We started literally from scratch, from simple room and 2nd floor additions to Chicago bungalow homes we progressed to what we are today. Through great client relationships, lots of hard work and of course timing and luck, we became a custom architectural firm concentrating on branding of commercial spaces for local businesses in the loop and around, taking on projects that require unique visions, functions, of course being ahead of the curve in doing projects such as dispensaries and spreading to north-shore suburbs with custom designed projects.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every project has its struggles, with both of us briefly working during school time, all that we know right now is self thought, we believe that it’s the best way since you literally learn on your own skin and tend to remember all your mistakes, not to repeat them. Having an open mind of “learning something everyday” helps us to be better than yesterday.

We are a boutique architectural firm, we specialize in office branding, from small firms to corporate offices. Outside of offices and commercial work, we also do custom designed single family homes, multi-unit buildings and industrial spaces and yes, we don’t do porches.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Hands down all credit goes to Anna Bugaj, she has started this firm single-handedly, her perseverance over the good, the bad and the ugly landed where we are today, with unbelievable visions combined with great business skill, she is the true leader.
