Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Wang.
Angela, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
3 years ago, something happened in my life. I was facing significant challenges and my relationship isn’t working. While searching for the right help myself, I talked with many people in similar situations. I realized how greatly people would benefit from professional guidance. Combining my psychology and computer science background, I decided to create a platform to help people become happier and achieve further in life. With professional advisors, we help people take actions when they are lonely, change responses to failure, protect their self-esteem, battle negative thinking, and eventually build emotional resilience. I want to live in a world where everybody is psychologically healthier, everybody feel better about themselves and more empowered. I’m sure that’s the world we all want to live in. Wekaw is the first step to help people change a few simple habits to make this happen. Start with one person, one coaching session.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Attracting the right coaches is a challenging at the beginning. Many well-established coaches have never heard of us, so they hesitate to learn more. But as more coaches understand the support we offer to their business, they started to partner with us. Now, some of our coaches are recurring guests on WGN morning news, major radio shows and publications.
Wekaw – Your Relationship Advisor – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in relationship coaching. What set us apart is our client satisfaction. We are flexible and deliver solids results. When many people begin considering counseling or coaching, they are not sure who to talk to or which person they should work with. On our platform, you have the ability to schedule an appointment on the same day and get a confirmation. If you don’t find an advisor to be a good fit for you, you can easily change to another advisor. As a third party, we also collect information about how our advisors can improve, so you can remain anonymous when offering feedback. Overall, clients are very happy with the result they get and some even invited our advisor to speak at their wedding ceremony!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment is when I see a transformation. When a client comes to us, they are lost, not sure what to do. After 3 months, they become confident, assertive and happier. Every time I see the change in people, it gives me fulfillment and purpose in my work.
