Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Lucas.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am the Creative Director at p3 mediaworks. P3 mediaworks started out as two brothers in Chicago with a computer, a camera and the motivation to tell stories. Over the last 15 years they’ve grown into a company making videos for international clients and clients in their own backyard. They believe in the power of storytelling through media. They believe media works. The company prides themselves in their ability to take a project, big or small, from its initial “blank page” beginnings through creative development, all stages of production and ultimately, completion. Acting as a one-stop shop, p3 mediaworks has completed projects with clients ranging from fortune 500 companies to non-profits to kickstarter campaigns.
Please tell us about your art.
While art and design are often debated, we create videos deeply rooted in design and storytelling. We operate under the general guide of discovering and conveying the greatest potential in all that we do. Otherwise we simply do not. At the end of the day whether it’s for ourselves or for our clients, we design ways to communicate. And through that communication, we hope to create impact, action and if intended, change.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
Great question. Inspiration and originality come to mind. Currently, there seems to be a lot of noise being generated typically derived from a select few great ideas. While it’s easier to regenerate existing ideas and often great practice, staying true and honest with your art stands the test of time, in my opinion.
