Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre Frank.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started out working as a manager for Illinois first Health food grocery store called “Fresh Fields” in Naperville Illinois back in the early 90’s. Part of my responsibility as a manager was the up keep of the store. I had approximately 10 employees that reported directly to me. I maintained a very good working relationship with them to the point that they would often bring me lunch. One day one of my employees named Pablo approached me and asked me if I ever thought about owning my own business because he thought I was pretty good as an employer and kept the store in tip top condition. He went on to relate to me that he had a cousin in California that had a multi-million dollar cleaning company and that sparked my interest to say the least. I started to research some of the top cleaning companies and then narrowed it down. I decided to quit my managerial job and take a major pay cut from $28,000 per year to $7 per hour to learn the business. I learned every aspect of the cleaning industry in about a years time. After that I made up some fliers, started visiting various facilities such as medical centers, restaurants, child care centers etc. and was able to pick up some contracts. After some time and eventually within a short period of time, I had more contracts then I could handle. I then decided to branch off into carpet cleaning and from there into water restoration and mold remediation. I studied it, took the required classes and courses and here I am 19 years later with one of the top Mold Remediation companies in the Chicago land area with a 5-star Google rating, all thanks to a former employee named Pablo.
Has it been a smooth road?
For the most part yes, it has. We follow a very simple model and that is to value our customers, charge fairly and provide the most thorough services possible to protect our clients homes and businesses.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Mold Removal Chicago, Inc story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a Mold Remediation and Water Restoration Company. We provide mold removal solutions to our residential and commercial clients. We specialize in mold remediation and testing services. I am most proud of our attention to detail and our high ratings. We are bar far, not the biggest company out there but we are one of the top elite and our competitors know our reputation very well. We were once asked by one of our competitors that we met on an estimate: “How can you guys keep your pricing so low”? That was a proud moment for me and it reaffirmed that we are on the right track.
What sets us apart is: Our ability to continue to “Wow our clients without bankrupting them.”
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Our product prices are steadily on the increase but we seem to find a way to keep our pricing extremely competitive without sacrificing excellent service. Mold remediation services will always be needed and I only see the industry increasing.
