Today we’d like to introduce you to Aline Kaze.
Aline, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I lost everything and moved here for a fresh start and to have the freedom to find myself and to pursue my passion for audio and music. Eventually, I gained a very tiny, but solid amount of self-confidence with the help of my awesome, and loving homies and started djing.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s not the roughest one I’ve been on so far. I think that’s too be expected in life. I’m not mad at that anymore. There’s the obvious struggles of being black, a woman/femme identifying person and the vast array of internal, emotional struggles lol
Bonita Appleblunt_ – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a DJ and an Audio Producer. I’m still learning to be proud of myself and of how much I’ve accomplished.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I recently played at this event called Slomo Party and had one of my best sets ever. It was so awesome watching everyone dance and sweat all night. I felt really good after that.
