Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Harris.
Ali, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always felt a calling to help others to look and feel their very best and become the greatest versions of themselves… I was on track to become a psychologist when my life took a different path. Through a series of personal experiences, I found myself on a healing journey that opened my mind up to the power of the mind/body/spirit connection…
After seeing first hand how transformative energy healing and other alternative modalities can be, I decided to go to school to help others to heal through touch, rather than through talk alone. I became an esthetician and Reiki master-teacher while finishing my degree in Psychology. I was blessed to get my start in the industry at 2 of the top spas in the area, however after a few years of heading up the esthetics department, I decided it was time for me to go out on my own and break free from the limitations that come along with working for someone else. I knew that beauty and health started internally and I wanted to offer my clients a path to healing that included more than just external skin care applications.
I worked for 8 years at North Shore Hospital in Skokie (formerly Rush north shore) with a group of OB/Gynes who knew the benefits of mind/body healing and balance for women. After 10 years in practice, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a debilitating, autoimmune syndrome that is characterized by chronic widespread pain, paralyzing exhaustion, and sleep issues. The physical and emotional pain that I experienced kept me mostly in bed for almost 3 years, unable to work or care for my children the way that I wanted to.
In a desperate search for answers, I finally found the winning combination for myself and healed both my body and my spirit by addressing the issues on a physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic level…
Has it been a smooth road?
My business has been a labor of love. It has not always been a smooth road. Whenever you are creating something new and impactful, you are out of your comfort zone. This can be a really scary place because you don’t know what the future might look like.
What people may say or think of you. You question your strength to fight up against the naysayers. Ultimately, I realized that this mission is so much bigger than me. It’s not about me at all and to give in to fear would take away the opportunity for others to experience healing. It is about being of service to others. I challenge myself often to push through fear because I know that is when growth happens.

Karma Healing Solutions is one of the things in my life that I am most proud of. It has grown and evolved in a way that now offers a comprehensive path to deep healing and transformation on all levels. The name of my company represents my belief that each one of us has the ability to design our own life’s path by consciously choosing to think, act, breathe, eat, love, and treat ourselves and others in a way that only supports our highest purpose. Sometimes there are roadblocks such as time, money, health concerns, hormones, kids, or limiting beliefs/sabotaging thoughts that get in our way of creating happiness and joy for ourselves…
My true passion comes from empowering women to step into the best version of themselves by recognizing those roadblocks and removing them or adjusting the way that we perceive them… In my experience helping thousands of people take control of their life, I have found that the best approach is one that is holistic and takes into consideration the inter-connected relationship between the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, financial, and energetic aspects of ourselves. I believe that my background in psychology and life coaching in combination with my own personal emotional/physical health journey, years of experience with holistic modalities, and intuitive gifts allows for a deep understanding of how to facilitate healing.
My practice is open to both men and women, however, I specialize in working with women who may be feeling stuck in one or more areas of their life… Every program is completely customized to the individual’s needs. I incorporate the use of essential oils that I hand blend, crystals, sound healing, and chakra clearing for deeper transformation. As a Reiki master-teacher, I use Reiki energy healing to help people to clear old energetic patterns and belief systems that have been holding them back in their life. The sessions include a meditation and are deeply relaxing. I then offer intuitive guidance and coaching based on the messages that I receive about the block as well as coaching on how to breakthrough.
Because our physical health affects our emotional and mental health, the majority of my clients choose to incorporate the nutritional detoxification protocol that I recommend. Some of the benefits of this include, weight wellness, energy, sleep, mental clarity, stress reduction, and overall health. I am partnered with a health and wellness community of people who are committed to helping others look and feel their best. We have educated and inspired thousands of others to take back their health and pay forward the gift of health to others. We offer a vibrant Facebook community and many workshops and gatherings for education, accountability, and support.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love our city mostly for the friendly people and the wide variety of ways to connect with art and culture. We have world-class museums and so many opportunities to see great music and theater.
We also have amazing restaurants!!! I think there is something for everyone to enjoy in Chicago. What I like least about our city is the winter months when the sun is hiding. 🙂
