Meet Alex Drummond of Infiniteus Rocks & Juice in Wicker Park/Bucktown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Drummond.

Alex, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After graduating from DePaul University, I spent 2 years in California living life. After which I decided that I needed to open my own business as I had aspired to do, and wanted to follow my passions. I saw a nitch for health and juice growing quickly and knew Chicago could use my help with that. I also was deciding on opening a crystal shop to further my interest and learning (as well as teaching) process in metaphysics and other information that science is finally catching up to. With developing technology and an ability to study smaller aspects of physics and the universe, scientists are finally catching up to us in the occult and esoteric world. I decided to open Infiniteus. A place that could embody everything I stood for. A place where people could expect real organic food was necessary, but to complete my dream, I added the crystal shop. Now Chicago finally has a place where people with a bit more openness in their minds can gather and expand on ideas while practicing their preach. A place where we can nourish our bodies but keep the process going by learning how to use subtle frequencies to work with our bio-fields. The extreme level of health and wellness doesn’t stop with the body. We understand the whole and we use it

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth as life is. My business is a reflection of the team. We have ups and downs. Staff changes a lot. My life partner and business partner, Ashton Graetz, has been there with me running the show for the last few years and she does a wonderful job being the “shop mama” and holds so much together to help us continue moving forward. My manager, Justin Garcia, has grown to be one of my best friends and the trust between us is something I couldn’t have expected to find in “the workforce” I would have expected to find a friend like that growing up from childhood. But we were lucky enough to find ourselves working together in something we both stand for. That has been great.

Please tell us about Infiniteus Rocks & Juice.
Infiniteus is an Organic juice bar and crystal shop. We focus on aspects of consciousness that we often overlook and urge our guests to expand upon them. We teach health and wellness on much more than a physical level. We pride ourselves on holding space where odd ideas can be accepted. In today’s day and age, most of us know the government and big business doesn’t care at all about the general population. I like to think of our place as a place where people can take that into their own hands by understanding how we are controlled as well as how to take control back. It all has to do with where we place our attention. We let those conversations be accepted. Many people shut them down because they are afraid of the truth or because they have been successfully mind controlled. We don’t do that here. We let all those conversations be accepted. That’s how we address what needs to be changed. By not ridiculing others when they notice something we don’t. For instance, we don’t get on the bandwagon of closing for July 4th because the United States is a corporation. Just look at every bus stop in Chicago. It says Chicago was incorporated in 1833. We are certainly not free on paper. We don’t hire the fact that we know that. We are the change we want to see in the world. We are not afraid. We are the resistance to this opposition.
