Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca O’Sullivan.
Rebecca, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I went to beauty school originally thinking I’d become a makeup artist and fell in love with skin care and waxing. At one point, I was working in medical offices, assisting doctors with skin treatments. Soon after, I became more focused on personalized aesthetics, working mainly with eyebrows.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Finding the right fit where you work can be a struggle. Money might be great at one job, but depending on the circumstances, you may still have self-doubt. You have to remember why you chose this career in the first place and use that foundation to keep you going.
Please tell us about Your Brow Girl.
I am an Esthetician. I specialize in eyebrow shaping and skincare. I strive to make all my clients feel both comfortable and good about themselves. I want people to have a strong self-image every time they walk out the door following a service. I received the nickname “my brow girl” or “your brow girl” from one of my long term clients. It means a lot when I receive referrals from devoted clients.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Like any little girl, I had an awkward stage while growing up. I know how it feels to be teased and feel down about yourself. I really enjoy working with preteens and teenagers. I want them to feel confident and good about themselves as much as I want all of my clients to feel positive. Whether it be for a job interview, the first day back to school or preparing for their wedding. I think everyone deserves to feel confident and beautiful.
