So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a full time working wife and mother of 4, I decided corporate America was just not fitting into my family life. My “hobby” became my new baby. I was able to be a mommy! I am able to put my kids on the bus, stay home with them if they are sick and spending that quality time family needs without calling off. My new baby, Enhanced Glamour gave me the flexibility my family and I needed. As a self-taught artist, I wanted to expand my knowledge in the beauty industry. In 2015, I received my license as an Esthetician. My love and passion grew beyond my belief. I have been truly blessed to work among some of the most amazing artists at Mac Cosmetics as a former permanent employee to an active current freelance artist.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life is full of peaks and valleys. I took a leap of faith! My husband and I had just purchased a new home when I decided to leave corporate America so funds were limited. I had no previous experience as a business owner. I knew how unhappy I was building a dream and passion for a stranger when I could be happier building my own dream. This has definitely been a long road. As a beautypreneur, you have to be prepared to create new ideas, stay fresh, and relevant. Keep up with trends and continuing your education is also very important. As an entrepreneur, you do not have someone sending you to training and seminars you need to be motivated to do it on your own for continuous inspiration. Do not be intimidated by social media or other artists. Be your own competition to become greater than yesterday. “To be ready to fail is to be prepared for success.” -unknown

Enhanced Glamour offers an array of services within the esthetics scope of practice. I focus on natural enhancements such as; natural beauty in makeup, healthy skin, and luscious lash extensions. I love that my work is my zen! It is honestly so relaxing and every client is confirmation that this is where I should be and what I should be doing. I specialize in Makeup for all occasions such as; Prom/Homecoming, Photo shoots, Bridal parties, etc… and Eyelash Extensions. I try to be as convenient as possible to all of my clients. I travel to my clients as well as have a stable location for clients to come to.
Who have you been inspired by?
One of my biggest inspirations is a good friend, Nicole Richardson. Nicole has the sweetest most humble spirit ever. She is also very generous and shows so much compassion for others it only makes you want to help her in any way possible. She is a courageous entrepreneur who started her business at a young age. She is very self-motivated and has all the attributes I only wish I had at her young age. Nicole has been blessed to work with multiple well-known celebrities. She has traveled the country all expenses paid to do exactly what she loves to do, makeup.
