Today we’d like to introduce you to Yasmine Brown.
Yasmine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am the founder of Beauties On Successful Strives (B.O.S.S.) and I Am Love Cares NFP. I am also the Author of LOVE: Answers to a New Beginning, women’s development guide to a better You. The reason why I started on this journey of women’s growth and development is because I truly believe that we are all women of Proverbs 31 or as I love to say Women of Abundance. That is exactly what a Proverbs 31 Woman is, she is a Woman of Abundance. A woman who chooses joy over anger, peace over chaos, love or cattiness and hate, all the days of her life. I was a very depressed woman and I couldn’t figure out, the big question of “Why Me?” I couldn’t understand why I had to be the one to deal with heartbreak, after heartbreak, after heartbreak. I couldn’t understand why people walked over me and disregarded my feelings. I couldn’t understand why I didn’t think I was good enough, pretty enough, and I wasn’t getting as much attention from men as my friends were. I couldn’t understand why I had to be the one over weight and scared to speak because I did not want to be judged in anyway. I couldn’t understand why I was always waking up crying, lacking energy to do anything and going to sleep the same way.
I was sabotaging myself but I didn’t know it. I didn’t know that God blessed me to be my own rescue. I didn’t know my worth as a Woman of Abundance. I didn’t know my strength as the daughter of the Creator of all things. I didn’t realize that I create my own life experiences, not by what physically happens but through my perception of all that happens in my life. I had to learn that I am worth far more than rubies. I am worth far more than chaos, anger and damaging ways. I am worth far more than depression, insecurities and a silent voice. I am worth far more than toxic relationships and giving myself away, in any form of relationship, to people that do not treat me as worth far more than rubies. Once I realized my worth, I unlearned my bad behavior and relearned how to treat me like a Woman of Abundance. I got on the endless journey to being who I am by nature. The reason why I say journey is because it is ongoing and never ends. Every day I have to choose joy, peace and love.
My passion is to help millions of women do the same because I do believe in what our sister Sojourner Truth says that it is woman that can turn this world right-side up again. Through B.O.S.S. and IALC”s I believe God has given me these two vehicles to do just that, turn this world right-side up.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course not. No journey is ever smooth. Perseverance is what keeps you going. Rocky roads are for character building. If everything was smooth and pleasant then what is the actually need for anyone’s business? Every business, no matter the industry, product or service are all solving a problem. This is part of how we are all connected because in many ways we all need each other to solve our inevitable problems and rocky roads are inevitable problems to overcome and keeping going after you overcome it.
My advice is to embrace your journey and own it because it is yours! Stay encouraged and know that what you are building and striving for is already done. Your job is to just grab it and keep growing it, whatever it is. Allow your character to be positively built through your obstacles, with perseverance being one of its leaders.

Beauties On Successful Strives is the foundation for dream building where Beauties, such as yourself, are able to learn, grow, have fun and support each other by coming together at upscale events, workshops, through inspirational calls and our online community.
Our Beauties have built friendships, support groups, turned their ideas into businesses, learned how to create peace in their relationships at work and at home, became more spiritually awakened, and started their journey to create a healthy and fit lifestyle. They have also gained clients and business collaborations within their first event attendance.
Most importantly, many women from our community have been able to help each other grow by lifting as we all climb. Leading us closer to the end goal of our Women’s Center. It is our desire to uplift women who are like how our Founder, Yasmine Brown was and possibly how you or someone you know is presently, needing a little guidance to go a long way. We create a 360 degree circle, catering to the fullness of you.
I am most proud of the impact BOSS has had over the lives of so many in just a short period of time. This is still just the beginning!
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
Yes absolutely. That is why I believe that in life you are always doing three different things, Learning, Unlearning and then Relearning. You learn specific things about yourself, good or bad and it is your responsibility to unlearn what is damaging you and relearn what good for you and your character building. I have been constantly Learning, Unlearning and Relearning. So if you had hardships when you were younger, count it all joy because if you learn from it and unlearn any behavior that is toxic as a result of your past then you will position yourself to keep playing full out.
