Conversations with the Inspiring Tiahra Linde

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiahra Linde.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiahra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my blog as a way to just let other girls know where I get clothes, my style inspiration and things of that sort. It took me by surprise when my first post got 1,600 hits in less than 24 hours. I was more in awe than anything and so grateful that I didn’t fall on my face, haha!

Because of the feedback on got on my first two posts, I decided to expand my writing topics. I’m dabbling in food spots, skincare, travel and have even been partnering up with some brands for giveaways.

Has it been a smooth road?
It was definitely a lot harder than I thought to start a blog. I had NO idea the amount of time and effort that went into perfecting your site, each title post and even the pictures you choose to share. My biggest piece of advice I have for any other women who are wanting to start a blog, just do the damn thing. Timing is never perfect and th there’s always going to be a group of people who want to see you fail. Don’t give them th satisfaction! For young women, I’m only 24 and I’m still trying to figure out what my end goal is. I have a bachelors degree, I’m working on my MBA, I work full time for a law firm and blogging is just something I’ve fallen in love with. If it leads to something more, I’d be thrilled, to say the least!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into tiahracorin.com story. Tell us more about the business.
What I’m most proud of during the whole process of creating tiahracorin.com is honestl, just staying authentic and true to myself. More often times than not, I’ll read a blog post of a girl I totally think has a bubbly, sarcastic personality from what I’ve seen on social media or from actually meeting them and I’ll read their work and be so confused why they try to cover that up! I want the sarcastic, witty humor that you project in real life! That’s what makes you, you. And that’s what I want my readers to get from me. I want them to read a piece of my work and say “yeah, that’s totally Tiahra” or “I can hear her saying that” otherwise, you’ll never get set apart from the rest

What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
I’m definitely one of the girls who’s all into women standing together and hyping one another up but, I still think we’re our own biggest enemies. I can honestly say girls, no matter the age, are catty. I still think there’s so much more work to be done for us to realize, if we actually team up and stop hating or bringing each other down, the opportunities that could stem from it are endless. I actually promote and distribute for a haircare line and some of the best women I’ve ever met in my life have come from that side gig. I’ve never felt so much support and love from people I’ve NEVER even met in real life. If I could make it happen, I’d have them be the example I want every girl to follow because that’s how amazing each and every one of them is.
