Today we’d like to introduce you to Nery Ayala.
Nery, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I moved to Chicago from Indiana.
Started with men’s hair, once I felt accomplished I moved on to women’s hair. Eight years later of being in the industry, my husband and I built Hairpostsalon!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not a smooth ride at all, business is an emotional roller coaster, I think any business owner would agree, you will doubt yourself, your friends won’t support you, it’s hard building a business from the bottom up. Lucky, I have a husband who’s been in business all his life and he helps coach me though it! If you’re starting your journey, just be sure your stable in your home life and have a strong support system, it’s very rewarding but it’s not easy, nothing worth having comes easy but keep going and remember why you started!!
What should we know about Hairpostchicago ? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in men’s hair, women’s hair and extensions and microblading.
I’m most proud of building a new business for only being opened one year my staff has already built a pretty nice clientele base. Day to day, you don’t see much growth but overtime everyday adds up!
What sets me apart from others? I can not answer as we are only focusing on our journey and we try to really focus on one to one client interaction to really try to get them to their hair goals in the least amount of time.
