Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Hunter.
Jennifer is owner and designer of Brow Love Beauty Bar. Being a licensed esthetician for the last 12 years and certified Microblading artist over the last year and a half, her passion and dedication are making clients feel as they wish, confident and beautiful.
Having moved to Chicago 10 years ago, Jennifer was attracted to what Allure magazine called Best Downtown Spa, she worked at this downtown Chicago establishment for 9 years. in which enhanced her abilities and also her understanding of the type of service that high-end clientele deserve and appreciate. Having expanded her services to Microblading, she has found a new passion for creating beautiful brows for clients who never thought they could have the “perfect” brows. Creating the perfect brows for each individual woman is something that she have found so much joy and appreciation for.
Being a mother of 2 young girls has been an amazing joy and push for Jennifer to branch out and achieve her dreams. “It was important for me to show my girls that no matter your age, no matter how many people tell you no or even the challenges you face, you can achieve your dreams with hard work and tenacity. Moreover, I wanted to show my girls that they are valuable and deserve every opportunity to go after what they want.”
The latter is the reason and vision for Brow Love Beauty Bar. Every client gets the service that they not only want but also, deserves. Being an esthetician for over 12 years has allowed Jennifer to understand that this field requires both art and science to achieve the brows for each and every client.
Jennifer’s experience and expertise in the beauty industry have qualified her to offer a specific set of services from waxing to microblading. Having women become overwhelmed with emotions after seeing their brows or reaching how and telling me how it has helped their confidence is a part of this experience that has really pushed me to continue to get better each day.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Although it hasn’t been the smoothest road in this field to make a name for myself and to showcase my talent, the journey has been worth the sacrifice. One of the hardest things starting out was getting people to believe in me and the hardwork I had put in my whole career, I really appreciate all my first customers because they helped pave a way for others to see and appreciate my talent and love for what I do.
Starting a business is scary but if you truly have a passion for something take a leap of faith and something beautiful might just happen.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Brow Love Beauty Bar story. Tell us more about the business.
Working in the beauty industry, you have to stay on top of the cutting edge advances and treatments out. I provide Microblading which is semi-permanent makeup in which pigment is deposited into hairlike strokes in the brow to give the appearance of real hair to enhance the shape and overall look of the eyebrows. I am known for creating the most natural looking brows in the Chicagoland area.
It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
A very good resource for myself has been other Microblading artist who have been in the industry longer than myself, I really look up to Tina Davies as she really helps fellow Microblading artist with her tools and blogs for the industry.
