Today we’d like to introduce you to Chiquita White.
As one of Chicago’s most successful style mavens and entrepreneurs, Chiquita has been coined “The Stylepreneur”. Chiquita began her grassroots journey to pursue a career in fashion by operating a boutique catered to women of all shapes and sizes with a divine love for fashion.
In 2005, Chiquita opened her doors to kiwis boutique in hopes of becoming a staple in Chicago’s fashion community. Fast forward thirteen years later, Kiwi’s Boutique has grown its brand nationwide to a diverse consumer audience. Also, she has birth a new baby which is called the Million Dollar Mindset program designed for professional and entrepreneurial women this platform has been designed to elevate and motivate while building a black women’s wall street
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been I have had a lot of sleeplessness night, low bank account and lost some friends. My advice is to love what you do and don’t let money be your primary purpose. Because if you love what you do, the money will come.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Kiwi’s Boutique story. Tell us more about the business.
I have run a successful women’s clothing boutique for 14 years. I specialize in making women feel good from the inside out. I’m most proud of the fact that women from all walks of life believe in my brand and trust that when they make a purchase they have made a great one. Also, this year has been mind blowing I have been blessed to have Tarjii P Henson and Nicole Ari Parker just to name a few as a client.
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
Yes, I was always in a leadership role growing up. No matter what I was always the one organizing whatever there was to be done.
