Conversations with the Inspiring Bridjet Morris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bridjet Morris.

Bridjet, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I started BridjetMorris.com in 2013, my intention was to inspire other women to get healthy and take ownership of their lives. Over the years, as my life has changed getting married and having kids, my mission and message have transformed into inspiring my readers to embrace and balance motherhood and family, which is always linked to wellness and self-care. I use my blog and social media as a platform to connect with others and spread a message of positivity. I believe in living authentically and fully.

Has it been a smooth road?
My journey as a blogger has been a rewarding opportunity to grow and thrive in more ways than I ever imagined. I’ve had many ups and downs, an evolution of my message and audience as my life has changed. The road hasn’t been smooth — it’s had many fluctuations. And I wouldn’t change it! My advice to other women would be to go with the flow, to take things as they come and honor the natural path you’re on, no matter what shape and size that takes. I’ve learned to trust my intuition to guide me and to continue to surround myself with other powerful, confident women who are guiding forces just as I am for them.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into BridjetMorris.com story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m a lifestyle blogger who has become a resource for women about motherhood, wellness, style, and everything in between. My online course called Countdown To Baby is set to release in Nov 2018. The interactive course is for new, expecting moms to prepare for motherhood. Because who really ever tells you what to expect?! I’ll be sharing invaluable information about connecting with your baby, your nutrition, your birth plan, and the first few weeks at home with your newborn.

Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
My mother was the epitome of a strong-willed woman. Whenever parents divorce, the family dynamic inevitably changes and with that — no matter how involved each parent is — comes added responsibility and sacrifice. In watching her struggle to raise and provide for me and my siblings, I also saw her put her dreams on hold. She felt she didn’t have a choice. And so from a very young age, I became determined to build a life I choose and could design that affords me the opportunity to pursue my dreams, not put them on hold. This is why I advocate for people who have less than because when I was a child, that was my reality. I am incredibly grateful to my mom and my other powerful female role models who taught me what it means to have a drive and to do whatever you must to survive.
