Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantal Pryor.
Chantal, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I became a photographer after winning a raffle and receiving a Sony a700 as a prize! I mostly took photos of street architecture and the general public doing daily activities downtown Chicago. My focused changed to fashion as my sister would let my practice sessions in natural light. After her and my mother passed away, I fell out of the creative spirit. I took a year away from photography until 2017. Now I focus on the happy side of photographing families and children!
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a photographer. I love creating memories for families that may not be able to afford overly expensive photographers. I believe that every family should have quality photographs of events or moments that they love!
How can artists connect with other artists?
What has worked best for me is to send friendly messages to other creatives for “play” dates. We meet for coffee with our laptops and get work done together. I am also in a few social media groups with other creatives that don’t have a typical 9 to 5 job.
