Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosa Cline.
Rosa, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Moving from California to Chicago several years ago was a significant change in my life. Chicago, with its diversity of weather and cultures, inspired me to explore my artistic side. I went to make-up school, where I was first exposed to face and body painting… and I instantly fell in love!
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
Growing up in Brazil, and being influenced by my mom, who also was an artist, exposed me at an early age to the vibrant colors and visual extravagance of artistic expression… which, was most likely the genesis of my fascination with face and body painting.
I fell in love with the industry of face and body art several years ago. What intrigues me most is the intimate almost magical interaction between myself and the subject.
My creative process stems from an intuitive connection that I experience with my subject. Connecting to peoples individual energy helps to release my creative process and allows my brush to flow freely. The end result and their reaction are priceless.
My artistic background is colored with unique experiences: I am a certified make-up artist. I spend several years involved with the Chicago Calligraphy Collective. As well as dozens of art classes & workshops.
I’m looking forward to learning more and being inspired by life each and every day.
How do you think about success, as an artist, and what do quality do you feel is most helpful?
Success is being true to yourself and following your passion.
The essential characteristic of success is always looking for different ways to improve yourself and connect with people’s hearts.
