The Revolution (part 1). Coming at you sassy and real with the visual treatment I created w/ my mate and fellow #feminist @pablo_gordy. The Revolution (Lost at the Bazaar Keep) emobodies that spirit of rebellion we all muster up in our pursuit of freedom, in whatever form it might manifest itself. There is one day in whole year which makes my heart beats faster. The day when I feel more free, prouder and stronger to be a woman. They say that ladies are ‘weaker sex’ and I really don’t understand it. Maybe physically we are weaker but in everything else we are equal as men. In this special day I hope all of us will open the eyes, get a bit more confidence and start go for their dreams. It is not true, you can not get good job in men’s world because there is not a space for you at the table. Most my jobs were in men’s environment (what means …sometimes I was the only lady in whole building). And I handled it. I learnt so much skills which were not with me naturally. But it didn’t mean I couldn’t get promoted because I’m a woman. It is bullshit! (excuse me for language) What does it mean for myself to be a women? To have a superpower of giving a birth (I believe it brings special connection between kids and mom), to be able to handle stress better (yes yes, we are slightly better in that then guys), to have possibility to say ‘I don’t have anything in my wardrobe’ and go shopping without excuses. But to be honest it is a feeling of pride, walking with my head up, being proud of my body, health and achievements. Not being afraid or scared of going for my dreams. The main key is: WHAT YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT YOURSELF. It will brings you new opportunities of sitting at the table, achieving your goals or walking with pride of who you are. I taught myself feeling and think good about myself few years ago and today I make a decision about my life and future, living proactive, not reactive, simply being in control – and this is my women’s power! I was going to try and do a shoulder workout today, but I was just so exhausted from the week that I decided to take the day off and rest as best I could. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow; just play it by ear. Listening to my body has been the greatest lesson of this whole experience; that and patience. Keeping my diet very clean, switching to a ketogenic diet, and doing intermittent fasting on some days has helped me to lose a lot of fat so far. It’s in a healthy way and I’m not starving; it’s fantastic! Even some of my definition is starting to come back. I’m very happy with the progress I am making.
