Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Dillon.
Victoria, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started selling Real Estate after graduating from the University of Illinois in 1992. After graduation, I decided not to take a management position, but instead worked for my family business over the summer while obtaining my real estate license. I was licensed in 1993 but didn’t sell full time until 1994. I started at Bell Realty and a few years later they merged with Coldwell Banker. I switched to RE/MAX in 1997 and have been happily selling real estate there ever since.
Has it been a smooth road?
It was not always smooth. I was the youngest in my office when I started by almost 20 years and sometimes being inexperienced and young was challenging. However, I had a Marketing degree from U of I so I used my expertise in that field and worked very, very hard. I emulated the top producing, seasoned agents in my office and would put in 12-14 hour days. Being young, energetic and having no commitments to a family, certainly gave me the time to focus on my career. The long days and nights did pay off and after being at REMAX a few years I became one of the top multi-million dollar producing agents in my office selling 50-60 homes …about one a week!

I am a real estate broker with RE/MAX Ultimate Professionals in the Will County area. I work with all buyers and sellers… from 1st time home buyers to move-up buyers as well as buyers who are downsizing. It doesn’t matter if you are buying a $60,000 home or a $600,000 one, I am grateful for all the business and treat everyone the same!
I am most proud that my clients for the past 2 years have voted me “One of the Best Realtors” in the Will County. It was a daily voting contest through the Herald News. It is very humbling to receive such an award and that my clients took the time to vote for me two years in a row. I think this speaks volumes on the customer service I give my clients. 98% of my business comes from repeat clients and referrals so I have a lot of happy clients. I feel what truly sets me apart is that I truly want the buyer to LOVE his home and the seller to be OVERJOYED with the home selling process. I’m not a high pressured realtor so I do not stop showing houses until my buyer says “Yes this is the ONE!”
On the selling end, I educate the seller prior to listing and prep the home. I will walk the seller through with recommendations on staging and decorating so when the pictures are taken and it hits the market -it SELLS! Pricing is very important as well so I do a thorough market analysis so the seller understands the market and prices the home competitively. I have a fool proof Marketing plan that works! I have helped hundreds of buyers find their DREAM home and sellers get TOP dollar for their home. I want my clients to be extremely happy with their home purchase or selling transaction that they tell their family and friends. I take great joy in helping first time buyers with their new beginning and helping divorced couples with their next chapter in life! I also feel it is important to give back to my community. I helped many years at Lamb’s Fold on their executive Board and volunteering at Morning Star Mission which help the homeless with food and shelter. This year I am very happy to say I will be building my first home for Habitat for Humanity in May!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes! I was born and raised in Joliet which is in Will county and only 42 miles south of Chicago. The Will County area was a booming area with a lot of affordable housing and new construction when I started 24 years ago so it was a great place to start selling real estate. Will county remains to this day to be a hot area to live and raise a family because of the many amenities and great schools it offers! You get so much more home for your dollar here compared to the surrounding suburbs. In addition, it is still super convenient to the city for commuters with only a 45 minute drive. You get the best of both worlds living in Will County!
