Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Remus.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started out doing nature photography. It is peaceful, walking around and capturing the beauty of my surroundings. One day while hiking and taking photos, I stumbled upon a deer standing in the middle of train tracks. She saw me and stood there, I was able to snap a photo of it with the tracks leading directly to her. I submitted the photo to a contest and it was published in the newspaper. That actually landed me my first wedding in 2009.
I love photographing weddings. The thrill of being able to capture someone’s special day and knowing they will have them to look back at and share with their family is an amazing feeling.
Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t think any small business has a smooth road. Especially when you are learning the business side of things along the way. I’d say one of the biggest struggles is keeping up with emails and phone calls during the busy months. But now that I’ve been doing it for a few years I have developed my own system to keep up with things.

Remus Photography was established in 2009. We specialize in providing the highest quality of service to our clients by providing them with beautiful images of their special day, no matter what the occasion is. We specialize in weddings and photo booth rentals. The thing that I am most proud of as a company is the joy my clients get when they see their finished product. There is nothing like getting a call, text or email from a client saying how happy they are with their photos. The thing that sets Remus Photography apart from is the personal touch I give each client. I am only one person. I am with you through the process from start to finish. By the end of your session or wedding, I am more than just your photographer, I am your friend.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I definitely feel that this city is as good as any to start a photography business. The market is saturated with photographers anywhere you go, you have to have something to set you apart from the rest of them.
