Today we’d like to introduce you to TiShawn Lee.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a traveling wardrobe stylist and also owner of Modesti Boutique (online store). I’ve always been into fashion, it comes natural for me as my but I started taking it serious around 2012 when I started my Boutique and 2015 when I decided to start my career as a wardrobe stylist. I took celebrity stylist Shun Melson’s styling class, and after that I started doing my part and what I’d learned from her class and things picked up rather fast for me. My first celebrity client was Ashley Pickens from VH1 show Black Ink Crew Chicago. Since, I’ve grown other clients and connections in the Chicago.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My career as a wardrobe stylist and entrepreneur has had many challenges, some still to this day. Building a brand and doing it all on your own financially can be rough and also slow you down. I’ve made a lot of sacrifices, but they are all worth it and God always provides what I lack thereof!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the TiShawn Lee story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m known for being an entrepreneur. I own Modesti Boutique which is an online women’s store with trendy yet classic pieces. In addition I’m a wardrobe/celebrity stylist which goes hand and hand with me owning a clothing store. Whether my clients are on t.v or work a 9-5 they are all celebrities to me and get the same treatment! I’m very proud to inspire women and men to be entrepreneurs and to follow their dreams!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t necessary believe in luck, I believe in hard work and God. Whatever you put in is what you’re most likely going to get back.
