Today we’d like to introduce you to Taneisha Naylor.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Taneisha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My business started as a result of me hitting rock bottom. I gave birth to my beautiful daughter, Royalty and two hours later, she passed away in my arms. Not to mention, I had already lost everyone and everything I ever worked hard for. I was back to square one and now having to go through the pains of losing my child suddenly. The following month after my daughter’s passing, the Lord began to speak to me about writing a book. At that time, He did not give me the full details on what my book would be about but He urged me to start writing and informed me that I would share parts of my testimony about my daughter Royalty. As I started the writing process, God explained to me how we’re all, “Pregnant With A Purpose” and soon instructed me to give my book this title. He also broke down what the process of being “pregnant with a purpose” looked like and how our purposes are connected to rescuing people through our testimony’s. The purpose of my book was to awaken purpose on the inside of readers while providing understanding as to how their life experiences connect to their purpose.
As I started the writing process, I became frustrated because the resources I came across didn’t completely make things simple and give me what I needed. At that time, I also knew a few people who’d self-published their books. I asked them a few questions about the publishing process. They briefly gave me insight but not any guidance regarding the writing aspect. So, the writing process was all on me and I had to figure it out.
The Lord began to give me the steps and strategies to start writing, overcome writer’s block, methods to organize my thoughts in order to write a game-changing book, and so much more. While I wrote my book, I was seeking God about the date in which He wanted me done writing. The date He soon gave me was ten weeks from the day I started. Yup, I was shocked too. I didn’t think that would be possible. Then, He said to me, “you’re going through this process because you’re going to help others write and publish their books.” I wasn’t expecting this but I began to prepare myself for this.
After I finished my book in ten weeks, I began the publishing process. While my book was in the publishing phase I created the entire 10-week start to finish blueprint for aspiring authors to follow to help make the writing, publishing, marketing, and everything that comes with this process easier for them. Once I released my first book for pre-orders, I received massive feedback from people asking me how I started and finished my book. This question and others were repeatedly asked during this time. These questions and concerns provided me with insight on the exact ways I needed to help those who I would soon work with.
Eventually, I hired an executive business coach to help me perfect my writing coaching program, Authorship Made Easy. Honestly, after that everything happened so fast. I went from writing a book to becoming a published author to a sought-after paid-speaker to creating and then launching Authorship Made Easy, to an influencer, and then to firing my boss 11 months after releasing my first book. Some of the main reasons how I’ve gotten to where I am at today comes from my work ethic, heart, sacrifices, continuously investing in my business, and my passion to help entrepreneurs, speakers, and influencers not only write their first books but to help increase their visibility, grow their opportunities, and help them level-up in their purposes.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting, sustaining, and growing a business isn’t easy. There have been many struggles along the way. I’ve truly felt every pain of building something new. I would say trying to do things in my own timing has been one of my biggest struggles. I’ve learned when God instructs us to “go” we must “go.”
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Authorship Made Easy – what should we know? What are you most proud of and what sets you apart from others?
I help people understand their purpose to connect them to their destiny. I do this through motivational speaking, my books and my coaching services. My company, Authorship Made Easy helps entrepreneurs, speakers, and influencers write their first books to help increase their visibility and grow their opportunities. I walk them from start to finish in the book writing process, publishing, and how to turn their books into multiple streams of income. I also provide services for authors that are struggling with book sales. I provide them with a clear 90-day marketing strategy to attract the right audience and increase their book sales.
I’m most proud of two things. First, being able to help others level-up their lives. I’ve had clients tell me, “You’ve changed my life.” Statements like these always bless me and keep me going. Secondly, my company launched Sponsor A Child Campaign in 2017 to promote literacy, purpose and identity into the lives of inner city children. With help from the community my company was able to donate copies of my children’s book, Born With A Purpose to the third graders at Betty Shabazz International Charter School in Chicago, IL. This also allowed for me to speak to over 140 K-3 at Betty Shabazz International Charter School. I was thankful to be able to plant the message, “Born With A Purpose” into those children. Taneisha Naylor Enterprises LLC plans to continue this campaign worldwide.
My company is set apart because of my passion to make sure everyone I come in contact with sees greatness in themselves so they can confidently walk in their purpose.
