Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Glynn.
Ryan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Where I am today has a lot to do with how I got started: I never stop asking questions, never stop learning, and never give up on a problem that I know will take time to answer.
Where I am today, was not just me going through the motions of getting through college and graduate school to become a Doctor of Chiropractic but rather finding the answers to lifelong questions of lifelong experiences and then applying them to my every day clinical decision-making, separates me from any other medical professional. Because of this, I see great success with my patient’s over all well being.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
NO success comes without obstacles and challenges. Every day presents challenges and obstacles that we as a business and I as a doctor must overcome. In these situations, my business and I can do one of two things: let adversity defy the doctor I am or I, the doctor, can defy adversity for the betterment of our overall business and our reputation.
When the day ends, we are grateful for what the day has presented and what we could offer our patient’s and our community.
Glynn Chiropractic – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
What I love about my business is that, unlike many other clinics, we do not use cookie cutter protocols. Everyone is built differently from the inside out and, therefore, everyone should be treated differently. At Glynn Chiropractic, we pride ourselves on quality of care instead of quantity of care. This means that I prepare individualized treatment plans, thorough and detailed explanations of my report of findings, and proper treatment protocols.
The way I have structured my business is to give people a realistic outlook on their health. We do not scare them into treatment, we do not con them into treatment, and we do not prolong treatment any longer than is needed.
If I cannot help my patient or if I see anything that alerts a red flag, I have no problem referring them to the appropriate medical professional to best suit that patient’s need.
Additionally, I volunteer my time as the team doctor for the Libertyville Boys’ Club (a youth league that offers opportunities to learn and play flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading); I also give speeches on various health topics to local businesses as well as the Great Lakes Naval Base; and I donate my time treating individuals in non-profit organizations that serve people with developmental disabilities are housed.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
In the medical field, success is defined on how effective “I” the doctor am on treating the patient, how proficient I am in figuring out the cause and not the symptom of the patient’s problems, having an effective treatment plan that is made specifically for that patient, and most of all, seeing the patient smile because they are feeling a lot better to their areas of complaints.
Glynn Chiropractic is always looking for ways to improve and become more successful.
We will be expanding our office in size to accommodate treatment therapies with functional neurology, stabilization therapies, as well as offering programs that bring the athlete to the next level of play. We will continue to build and grow for the betterment of our patients.
