Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronit Wiener.
Ronit, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a self taught painter and have been painting for over 25 years. Most of my work is about strengthening women’s understanding and worth of themselves through imagery and word art. I’ve also been an avid workout fanatic for decades. Most of the workout leggings/capris out there are not built for a women’s body and the leggings made me feel bad about myself. Everything was basic black, too low on the hips, no where near my real waist, made poorly and see-through! So I decided to put my too loves together and created leggings with color, messages of self empowerment, original edgy artwork and built for a woman’s body. My leggings, capris and short all come up to the waist, hold you in, not see-through and wrap you in original edgy art with a message – you are beautiful inside and out!
Has it been a smooth road?
I have never designed clothing and didn’t no where to start, but once I started doing research, I didn’t stop until I found and created exactly what I wanted. I started with 3 designs in leggings and capris and now I have over 80 products including beanies, headbands, accessory pouches and baby and children’s sizes and silk scarves!.
I didn’t have trouble selling because I am so passionate about my art and the message sold the clothes. The clothes keep selling because of the quality and how unique it is.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with RoGaWear – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
RoGaWear is an activewear business based on my original artwork. I’m known for my graffiti artwork and portraits. I’m most proud when my message reaches a woman who needs to be reminded that she is worth it and when women wear my leggings/capris and feel great about themselves in it! I’m always so humbled when I’m walking around town and see women wearing RoGaWear and they tell me how much they love wearing it.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love living in the Suburbs. I’m not a city girl. I enjoy visiting and experiences the wonderful architecture, museums, restaurants, music venues, and of course shopping. But I love to come home to my quiet suburbs. I need my space and easy parking – ha!
