Today we’d like to introduce you to Marsh Arts.
Marsh, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The Marsh Arts Studio started out as a freelance company called Marsh INK Incorporated Freelance Services providing Graphic Design, Mural Design, Website Design, as well as Illustration. I came to a conclusion while finishing up my last year at The Art Institute that I wanted to create and help businesses and/or Individuals bring their ideas to life! It went to just having family as clients to having the south side as clients Ronnie branching out into other states like Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, and LA.
Currently residing in Atlanta I still get work from all over but majority is from Chicago and Atlanta with Marsh Arts expanding into the Art Show realm. Showing off my illustration, drawing, and painting skills with more to come in the future.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road but it has been a very interesting and fun journey. I started having to work two part time jobs while building and expanding Marsh Arts all over Chicago. Then being fortunate to leave my job to being a fulltime artist.
Making a difficult but needed decision to move to Atlanta, I had to start from scratch. Still having majority clients in Chicago, I eventually got me a full time creative job while building and expanding in Atlanta.
The Marsh Arts Studio – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I went to school for Graphic Design and now I create logos, business cards, apparel design, murals, portraits, web design, flyers/posters, invitations, menus, brochures, illustrations, character designs, plus more! Also I am currently teaching myself how to do motion graphics to further my skills and to provide more services.
What sets me apart from others is being able to be a one stop shop.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
What I define as success is me personally having a satisfying client and/or someone appreciating the artwork that I create and sell.
I definitely express myself in my artwork and I find pleasure if someone sees and understands exactly what I was trying to prostrate.
If I can help someone in need through my artwork and/or services, that’s pretty successful in my eyes.
