Maritza, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Itzabrand by Maritza is an American fashion and lifestyle design company. Started in 2007, CEO and Designer creator Maritza Ayala-Walker studied at Columbia College of Art and design in Chicago, where she got her BA then went on to Columbus College of Art and design where she got her BFA. While attending college she interned for companies like New York & Company, Express and C.O Bigelow. ItzaBrand ‘s extensive R and design education has had us work for companies here in the United States as well as overseas. We specialize in everything from fashion to interior design. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No road is easy or smooth, but I’ve been looking for a great family, friends and school behind me. They have given me the backing I’ve need to make it this far and farther.
