Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Price.
Kimberly, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always been a crafty person but, it all started in 2009 when I had my first daughter. I really wanted her to have the best 1st birthday party ever! So, I taught myself how to do decor and other cool event related things. I started off doing small parties for family and co-workers to doing events in just about every event venue in Chicago! I love it.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m a single mother of two girls but That’s Not really a struggle. More like a “juggle” lol but, There have definitely been some struggles. I’ve had two company vans stolen from me. Back in 2015 so I’m back to working out of my car again but business is still really good and I plan to open a store very soon!
Please tell us about KP Balloons.
I specialize in balloon columns, arches, centerpieces and bouquets. I also offer other customized party packages and goods. I’m most proud of giving back. I often do free work for my kid’s and other schools. My affordable prices and smaller packages set me apart from other balloon designers.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My 2 best friends! Shauna, Tonya and I had the best childhood! Our best memories are definitely the homecoming dances at Westinghouse High School. We’re still BFFs today.
