Meet Jesse Muniz of Prestige Personal Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesse Muniz.

Jesse, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Prestige Personal Fitness was founded in 2007 with the intent of offering in-home training at an affordable price. In 2007 we started with one trainer and have grown to a staff of over 20 health professional consisting of personal trainers, yoga instructors, and massage therapist. Ten years later we are still offering our clients the luxury of traveling to their home, high-rise, or semi-private facility at a price point lower than our competitors.

Has it been a smooth road?
A majority of the time the company runs smoothly. A couple of obstacles we face include finding trainers/instructors that stand out and are reliable. Our trainers/instructors are required to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree as well as one or more nationally accredited certifications. We also require all of our staff to have a vehicle so that they can carry an array of equipment in order to give our clients a more personal, unique, and challenging workout. Our trainers carry more equipment than any other traveling trainers in the city. The other obstacle we run into is scheduling. We realize that a majority of our clients are pressed for time. We make it our goal to go above and beyond to get them the time slots they prefer and can fit into their hectic schedules.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Prestige Personal Fitness story. Tell us more about the business.
Prestige Personal Fitness brings a healthy lifestyle to our clients. All of our personal trainers, yoga instructors, and massage therapist travel to our clients home, high-rise, or semi-private facility. We take the hassle and excuses out of not going to the gym. We have been serving Chicago for ten years and have recently been voted “Best of Chicago”. As a company we are most proud of our clients and staff. They are what sets our company apart and has kept us in business for so long. Our clients live very hectic lifestyles and do a fantastic job of balancing exercise into their daily routine. Our trainers don’t treat our clients as just another workout. They go above and beyond to cater to the clients schedule and to design an exercise prescription based off of fitness experience, lifestyle habits, goals, nutritional habits, and health history.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Our industry is continuously growing and evolving. In-home/traveling fitness has become a big business. People are living much more hectic lifestyles and find that this is an easy and convenient way to get in exercise. There has been a shift or trend in the traveling trainer. In the last 10 years in home trainers have nearly tripled in numbers. Companies such as Prestige are continuously changing and evolving. We are currently working on a number of projects so that we can stay ahead of the game. These projects include high-rise and corporate wellness. Creating a Prestige Fitness app. Developing a program called Performance Edge which is a monitored high intensity training program.
