Isaac, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a General Dentist, I went to school in Chicago, but also had a business and real estate background. I discovered that I really enjoyed doing dental implants. When I found out how much some of the materials cost, and the mark up many other Dentists and Surgeons were charging, I decided I could do significantly better, another obstacle people face is method of payment. I found a credit lenient financing company that helped countless people afford their treatments. I realized I could provide a great service at a more affordable cost to a wider array of people. Since I enjoyed doing them so much, it worked well and I was still making out well, but more important the patients were getting taken care of the way they should.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve encountered some resistance from other dentists. When you obliterate a market price, obviously people will not be happy. There were initial costs that made it a little difficult for me, but it seems that phase is behind me. Some of this work is complicated, and at that price point, work has to be done right the first time.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Healthy Smiles of La Grange – what should we know?
Full service general dentist office. We do traditional braces, clear braces, cosmetic work and all other general dentistry needs. As stated before we strive to be extremely competitive with Dental Implants, with pricing up to 75% off what other offices charge. Aggressive marketing in both print, and social media help us to advertise this price point, and we are considering going into television marketing very soon. Credit lenient financing is the second big thing we can offer that helps patients finance their needs, who may not have had opportunities previously. We aren’t located in Chicago, but I live in downtown and my commute is only 20 minutes. There are stories of people traveling overseas for affordable dental treatment, since our marketing became more aggressive we have patients from as far as Utah and Minnesota.

I’ve had great teachers who helped me get skilled enough to be where I am to perform the tasks needed. Some colleagues offer a great support network that I can bounce ideas off of. The bulk of the credit goes to my family. Their ability for me to bounce ideas off of. They encouraged me to find alternative means of financing. My mother even works for me and is now in charge of my financing department.
