Today we’d like to introduce you to Heritage Prairie Farm.
Thanks for sharing your story with us. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Heritage Prairie Farm was started as a small USDA organic farm in Elburn, IL. At the time, we were also harvesting our very own raw honey from the hives at our farm. We grow a variety of vegetables according to the season – tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, squash, and plenty more! Another specialty of Heritage Prairie Farm is our USDA Organic Microgreens. The Microgreen varieties we grow at Heritage Prairie Farm include Kale, Broccoli, Arugula, Radish, Cilantro and Healthy Mix.
The ways in which we harvest and grow at our farm, directly feed into all of our events. Heritage Prairie Farm hosts monthly Farm Dinners once a month beginning in May. These Farm Dinners feature what is growing in our fields at the time. Heritage Prairie Farm is also well-known as an all-inclusive wedding venue. We have several locations for outdoor ceremonies, as well as a newly-renovated rustic barn. Receptions are held in our five-peak century tent. Drawing for mother nature, we incorporate our farm flavor into the delicious farm food. As an all-inclusive wedding venue, we work with couples to customize their dream day. From the food to the cocktails, ceremony style to the evening s’mores, we love creating the perfect wedding for each couple.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
At Heritage Prairie Farm, we embrace change. Throughout the years, our farm has grown immensely and we’ve driven the change. From updating and renovating our rustic barn to expanding our field production, there’s always a new learning experience. But, as we continue to grow and and take on new challenges, Heritage Prairie Farm has remained dedicated to cultivating great food experiences.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Heritage Prairie Farm – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
In one area, Heritage Prairie Farm specializes in organic vegetables and microgreens. We are also well-known for our Raw Honey and we ship this delicious honey throughout the entire country.
Our wedding venue is something that we are also very proud of as a company. We aren’t just another farm venue, but an all-inclusive venue where couples can really work with our team to create their dream wedding. Everything we do is on-site… from the food to the ceremony. We are proud of providing an excellent service to our couples and their families so that they can fully enjoy their day.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are truly looking forward to growing our wedding venue and taking on new styles. We absolutely love when couples come in with a new idea!
