Meet Florinda Fiore of Fine Fabric Sales Showroom in Ukraine Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Florinda Fiore.

Florinda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
One might say Chicago-native Florinda Fiore also know as “Fashionista Flo” has a true passion for fashion. Flo said she loves all things fashion-related and has largely spent much of her successful career doing projects in the burgeoning industry.

Flo, who attended the Illinois Institute of Art Chicago, is a Jill-of-all-trades with prestigious work in fashion, marketing, production, and consulting. She has excelled in all aspects of producing successful fashion shows and events.

Flo is currently lending her talents to Official Midwest Fashion Week as the Fashion Show Production Director for the Chicago and Indianapolis Market. She also is a Wholesale Fashion Fabric Sales Rep, Fashion Consultant and Fashion Stylist. She also counts a stylist certificate from iconic California designer Fred Segal among her accomplishments.

In her very short spare time, Flo likes to salsa dance and has even taught herself the Spanish art.
“Dancing makes me forget about everything and just have fun,” and “For the love of fashion and art”, Flo Says.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. I have freelanced for many years and have gained much experience in this fascinating industry. Many events were not paid but, I made it work. I have always kept a positive mind and knew that this is the industry I was meant to be a part of.

Please tell us about Fine Fabric Sales Showroom .
Fine Fabric Sales Showroom is the only Wholesale Fabric Showroom in Chicago. We rep 22 vendors as we are Sales Reps of the Great Middle West and some other surrounding states. We specialize in finer fabrics like lace, silks, leather, as well as we carry buttons, interfacing and more to create a garment.

Our goal is to provide the designer, manufacturer and retail store buyer with a fabulous selection of fabrics, laces, buttons, etc with wholesale prices and small minimums.

At Fine Fabric Sales Showroom, we pride ourselves with the industry’s changing trends, colors, fabrics, and styles, so we can offer color and fashion forecasting,

We are known for our outstanding service we provide to our Designers. We love to inspire our designers as well as show our support and attend there Fashion Shows and events to see there finished product make a sale.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I am content with all the decisions I have made.
