Meet Christine Feliciano of Christine The Officiant in Northwest Suburbs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Feliciano.

Christine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
One of my fondest memories from an early age is the feeling of love. It is also the one constant in my life, to either share or receives. When I am surrounded by love, I have always believed that I must release it and give it back, so that the cycle may continue. For me being a Minister/Officiant, I am also following in the footsteps of my ancestors, for my great-grandfather was a priest in Constantinople, Turkey.

In 2014, a dear friend approached me and said; “you’re the only one that loves both of us equally as well as a whole. It would be a great honor to us if you would please officiate our wedding”. I accepted their request and went through the process to be ordained. That was the beginning of my lifelong goal, which is to increase and flourish as much love and unity as I can. The ability to share love is an inspiration to me and knowing that I could make others happy keeps me motivated. Being a part of a couples most memorable moment is the greatest honor. You can feel the amount of love transcend into the air, from the couple to the family and friends at every ceremony. Although each ceremony and couple are unique in their individual ways, the objective remains the same, love and unity.

Has it been a smooth road?
We are beyond grateful; it has been a smooth road. We do not perceive situations as struggles, at Christine the Officiant; we strive for occasions that are new and unique, it is an opportunity for growth and development. What others may see as struggles, we take these events and allow them to become great ideas and innovation at its best.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Christine The Officiant story. Tell us more about the business.
At Christine the Officiant we specialize in weddings, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies. We coordinate with each couple to personalize each ceremony to meet the couple’s requests; it is a team effort. What sets us apart from others is our ethics, morals, and the way we embrace the diversity that surrounds us. This is also what we are most proud of, the ability to recognize that our world is filled with various forms of love. For us at Christine the Officiant we believe that love has no boundaries, love is love, and love is universal.

Our couples come from a wide range of nationalities with various backgrounds, including religious beliefs such as nondenominational, Catholic, Jewish, Lutheran, etc. and or none. Another quality that set us apart from others is that we at Christine the Officiant are multilingual. Performing ceremonies in Spanish, Greek and or English. It is the beginning of a new era, where couples now have more options for their special day, whether it may be traditional, a specific theme or outdoors we are excited for each opportunity to unite and share the love.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years?  Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
Over the next 5-10 years, I see the wedding industry evolving with more themes, destinations and a higher rate of diversity among couples. One of the biggest changes that have already developed is the fact that some couples no longer pair marriage with religion. Marriage is an institution that generated from love, which is the couple’s focus. I expect this aspect to increase tremendously as well.
