Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Johnston.
Cameron, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 2009, I went to visit a pal in Costa Rica and there I was introduced to energy work for the first time. And it changed my life. It made me focus. It made me realize how stagnant I was. When I got back to the States I decided I needed a change—I moved to Chicago, Illinois and attended the Cortiva Institute for massage therapy. I wanted to learn about the body. I wanted to learn flow. I wanted to learn.
From there I worked at a gym, then a hotel, and then I settled in at Allyu Spa for nearly seven years. That space gave me the courage to accept my worth and move forward in my own endeavor, and now here I am. My name is Cameron Johnston, I own Intuit Massage and Healing, I have no idea what I am doing 😉 and I will be 30 in one month.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
A smooth road sounds comfortable, and yes, I have been comfortable in the past. Yet I was not stretching myself as much then as I am now. Now I am stretching and growing and learning from every bump on the road—every wrong turn teaches me something, to do or not to do. I am currently paving my own new road and it is rocky terrain! With that, I must say I have never felt more excited about what I am doing or my future than ever before.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Intuit Massage and Healing – what should we know?
Intuit Massage and Healing specializes in massage therapy and energy work healing. I work with each individual to fit their needs. Through different massage modalities such as myofascial release and Thai body work to name a few—each are utilized differently with each person to achieve relaxation or tension release.
I am known for my energy work and creating a balance and understanding of our emotional/ spiritual realm with our physical, as well as pain relief and management. I specialize in listening. Each person that steps into my room will be heard. Their pain will be acknowledged. Together we will create change.
What sets me apart from other healers is I believe YOU are the healer. Yes, I devote my career and life to helping people heal. But that’s exactly it—I help. No modality, no energy, can ever make anyone change if they do not want to. I can help identify the source of your pain, and ease it—you need to do the work to get rid of it. I can see where your negative energy comes from—but you have to walk away from it. It is your life, and I believe you have power over how you feel in it.

The owner and operator of Allyu Spa, Tamara Willis, has given me so much knowledge and confidence in what I want to do. She has given me advice and reminded me of my talents on numerous occasions. She has helped me grow into a leadership role and given me time to make my final leap into self-employment. She has a heart of gold, is always there, and truly understands. She is a true ally.
Robert Rosenburg has been a client and more importantly a friend for years. He has actively tried to convince me of my worth for maybe just as long. I’m finally starting to believe him.
