Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Aguirre.
Danielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When I became a stay at home mom to my son, I really found that I needed to expand my written beauty blog to social media in order to grow. I expanded to a Facebook Page, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram and have been doing this for nearly a year and a half. It’s been such a great outlet for me and I’ve connected with so many talented artists along the way.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t always been easy. The hardest thing is to constantly be inspired to create, especially if you’re not in the mood or having a really busy week. My advice to bloggers just starting is to ride the wave but never give up if you want to succeed because there are so many incredible opportunities out there for everyone!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Dee’s Beauty Blog story. Tell us more about the business.
I create photos and video content to show how to apply makeup, what my techniques are, I promote the brands that I love and show others what makeup I’m wearing in photos. The goal is to help others find new products and to teach them how to wear everyday makeup without it being intimidating.
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
I knew from a young age, I wanted to be an artist. Before I went to college, I sat down with my mother and we tried to decide between me going to beauty school or a four-year college. I chose college and got into makeup blogging back in 2011 before joining social media in 2016. It’s been a fun ride and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
