Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Faber.
Amanda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my career working in fashion buying and a few years ago, I decided to completely change career paths. I soon realized I missed fashion and the creativity of my last job. I had some experience in e-Commerce and I loved to read fashion blogs in my free time. One day, it dawned on me that I should take the leap and start my own fashion blog! I haven’t looked back since and I’ve enjoyed creating content for Cashmere & Jeans ever since.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve defiantly had my struggles! The hardest part for me was learning all of the logistics on how to actually set up and maintain my website. I had no clue what I was doing! But, I am so thankful for Google and YouTube. I can’t tell how many videos I’ve watched along the way when I’ve gotten stuck. Or the random things I’ve Googled. But in the end, I’ve figured it all out. It can be hard because you feel isolated and that you don’t have anyone you can ask questions to.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Cashmere & Jeans story. Tell us more about the business.
I create content for my fashion blog called Cashmere & Jeans. I’ve had a classic, preppy style that is also feminine and a little trendy at times. I like to call my style classic with a twist. I inspire women to be better-dressed versions of themselves and to feel good about themselves. I also love pulling outfits together to give women inspiration for any upcoming events they have like weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, etc.
