Check out Bill Busse’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Busse.

Bill, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I started my law enforcement career in the suburbs of Chicago in 2007 and continue to work in law enforcement today. In my time I’ve done a number of things including patrol, tactical and S.W.A.T work.

I began working as an extra in 2017. The majority of the work I’ve done is on NBC’s “Chicago PD” but I have also worked on the Fox Season 4 fall finale of “Empire”. The opportunity on Empire earned me a speaking role as an arresting officer and made me SAG eligible.

I signed up with Stewart Talent Agency in spring of 2018. They are a very reputable agency within the local entertainment industry and will assist
me in continuing my efforts to become more involved in acting.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am new to acting so I don’t create anything on my own at this point. I think being a father in his mid-30’s who is a decade into my current career, I can be a source of inspiration for those who aspire to challenge themselves to become more. I think in time I will become a known commodity in the entertainment world. I see myself as somebody who isn’t only known for his appearance (6’6″ 240lbs) but for the ability to immerse myself within any role taken to make that character captivate the attention of the viewing audience.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
I think it’s fairly well known that competition in the entertainment industry is stiff to say the least. The good news is in the last several years, Chicago has become home to several successful television shows that have created opportunities for those who have dreams of becoming gainfully employed as an actor that didn’t previously exist.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
Currently I can be seen intermittently on the NBC series “Chicago PD”. However, I plan on doing my best to put myself in a position to appear on several shows in the Chicago market. I have agreed to do some modeling work as well and hope to use that platform to help me network and gain increased exposure.
