Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Gentle.
Matt, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story begins as most do; with an amazing mother. My mother, Janet Gentle, ran a Massage school and taught me about alternative tools you can give the body to encourage its self- healing mechanism. So, when it was time to set career goals, I was able to take those roots and expand them and my knowledge by getting trained and certified in as many holistic healing practices as possible. My main focus is as an exercise specialist, but I have so many more elements that I can layer into in my method that give an authentically unique and customized experience to my clients. I have seen so many main stream gyms offering cookie cutter and fad solutions to achieve clients’ goals. I learned very quickly that these methods do not produce the results that people were seeking. So, I set out to create a different way that exceeded all of my clients’ expectations, and the results they achieved were beyond anything they had experienced in years of trying, and this was accomplished in just months. I have been honing and adapting this method to each person that crosses my path, because if you are not focusing on healing and helping the body in front of you, you are just not going to be able to help them see the best results or live their best life.
Has it been a smooth road?
When you are doing something that goes against the norm, there is always opposition and less than ideal responses from competitive forces. These are the things that show you that you are on the right path, in my opinion. There are always challenges in building a business, but it is in those challenging spaces, that you are forced to learn and grow and become better. If I am getting better, I am better able to serve others. I do not think a smooth road is the best terrain for growth, so I cherish all of these lessons I have been given.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My personal business is an exercise training specialist. I have partnered with some of the most talented wellness professionals I have ever known to create Elite Wellness in Highland Park, IL. We are located right above the Tesla Dealership. Elite is the most comprehensive wellness center offering the most proprietary technologies for healing and recovery I have ever seen under one roof. Our technologies include cryotherapy, photobiomodulation (light) therapy, PEMF (pulse electromagnetic), radial shockwave, localized cryotherapy, infrared sauna and more. We also have an extensive list of personalized body work options including chiropractic, myofascial release, Rolfing and physical therapy. My clients see much better results because of the supplementary services available to them at Elite. The next phase of my business growth will be a revolutionary Corporate Wellness Program. So many current initiatives focus on the aforementioned cookie cutter solutions for weight loss and toning, but in a corporate setting a whole body approach is needed to align for optimal wellness in the workplace and in life. I am really excited to launch the program I am creating. It is really going to change people’s lives and improve workplace environments and productivity!
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
The proudest moment of my career will be when I am able to fully launch my new Corporate Wellness initiative. This has been many years in the making, and seeing it come to fruition will be like getting to the top of a professional mountain to plant that flag of change for the better. This program is really going to change wellness in the workplace and the results that each person and company will see are going to blow them away!
