Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Redzovic.
Eddie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story is a long one like it would be for most of us but I have a condensed version of it made as a documentary that’s up online called from Dunya to Deen.
I grew up in Chicago going through many of the struggles many of us face day to day, I found myself without a purpose in life, lost in the confusion of life chasing my blind passions and desires but at the end still not happy, just left empty with a deep void inside.
It wasn’t until later in life that things started to come together spiritually, mentally and physically.
I found a passion for the art of Gracie-Jiujistu I also started traveling and learning in Brazil. I developed a
love for personal growth and development, started a Talk show called ‘TheDeenShow’ which airs in Chicago on CanTv 36 every weds and Thursday, also, on several satellite channels and can be viewed on the internet where we do our best to pass on and share beneficial things to people that would be able to benefit them in life.
The journey still continues as we are all works in progress
Has it been a smooth road?
The road in life is never smooth all the time, that’s part of the test of life, there is no perfect Paradise in this life, it’s a life with tests and trails but what we can do is get the tools we need to navigate through these struggles and to look for the good in every situation, look to learn and grow and become a better version of ourselves day by day and that’s how I try to live my life by learning, applying and growing so that when the tests of life hit us we can be cool and comfortable even in the most uncomfortable situations, that is not easy but the one who strives can God willing to achieve.

I Thank God Almighty that I was honored to become first America(Bosnian) Rep for Carlos Gracie Jr. here in America. Now, with my family, who I love dearly my younger brother Adem Redzovic, Idriz, Hamid our whole team of black belt professors (too many to list) and our amazing staff and students we continue the legacy of teaching people the most effective Martial Art in the world Gracie- Jiu-Jitsu in a comfortable, safe, family-like atmosphere while also focusing on being a good human being who has good character and manners.
