I studied photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It was an amazing experience walking through the museum every day on the way to class. I truly enjoyed being a part of such a unique student body, and seeing all the art created there. After completing my degree, I interned for CS Magazine before starting my own wedding and portrait photography business in the city. The beauty of Chicago has always inspired my work, but it’s capturing the connections between couples and families that keeps me moving forward in my photography. I am lucky to have a thriving business, with wonderful clients who value what we do. Last year I was named one of the Top 5 Wedding Photographers in Chicago by CBS. Without my clients, who are willing to share themselves and their lives so openly with me, I would not be where I am today.
Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t know if there is such a thing as a smooth road to owning your own business, especially one in a creative field. Finding a voice in the world of photography was certainly an internal struggle for me. Learning to trust that voice is a part of how I grew. You realize what it is you want to say with your work, and for me that just took time. I definitely received encouragement from family and friends, but there were definitely those that seemed to think I should give up. Be it competitors, former employers, or just a negative voice along the way. I learned to turn those experiences into motivation instead of letting them deter me. And that was not always an easy thing to do.

I am a Chicago-based wedding photographer who loves getting to know my clients. I love telling stories with my images. And I love weddings. When my clients look back on their wedding images, I want them to remember how it felt to be there. I want them to have beautiful images of moments they may have missed– a tear quickly swept away, a big laugh, a quick but meaningful glance. While I love classic poses and unique composition, my favorite photographs always end up being the moments that happen naturally. I am drawn to beautiful light and real emotion. I am always striving to create that image that will make you say ‘wow.’ With passion, dedication, creativity, and style, I specialize in telling beautiful love stories with photos that capture the essence of each couple. My style is photojournalistic and timeless. Our upbeat and easygoing personalities will help make your wedding day fabulous and fun. We candidly capture the in-between moments of genuine laughter and raw emotion that will give you goosebumps. We aim to be more than just your wedding vendor. We will be there guiding and supporting you every step of the way, making you and your partner feel 100% comfortable in front of the lens. My passion is creating inspired, heart-felt images for Chicago and beyond.
I am proud to have a thriving company where I get to be creative and tell stories for a living. My proudest moment within that has been receiving over 50 five star online reviews from our clients. Also, being named one of the Top 5 Photographers in Chicago by CBS was an amazing moment, and such an honor. Also, having a wedding featured in People Magazine was absolutely thrilling.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Chicago is a visually stunning city, and an absolute playground for a photographer. I love the skyline view along the lake, and I love the riverwalk at night. I also love how each neighborhood has its own personality. There is always something new to see, and I love that about Chicago. Not to mention all the good food!
