Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Jones.
Jason, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today?
Dream Redeemers was birthed during a valley season in my life in which I felt God was distant from me and had been ignoring my prayers. Yet, I was unaware that He was cultivating and preparing me for what was about to take place for the next phase of my life. During a time of prayer and devotion, God whispered to me, “I want you start a business that will assist people with their disbelief and lack of hope in achieving their dreams.” After that statement, He immediately started to provide me with the company name, vision, mission, structure and content. Our mission is to empower, encourage and inspire individuals to chase their dreams and fulfil their purpose. Our vision is to create a nation of dream chasers. Today, Dream Redeemers has been fortunate to see God’s word and vision come to life. We’ve assisted multiple people with changing the course of their life and running towards their dreams. We’ve assisted many people with understanding the tools needed in identifying their purpose. We understand this is just the beginning. Each day our goal is to bring one person closer to their dreams or purpose.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has not been smooth at all. Being an entrepreneur/business owner is filled with ups and downs. However, an important part of this journey is making sure you appropriately manage the low and high moments. It’s essential to make sure you don’t get too high during the peaks or really low during the valleys. Some struggles I’ve experienced was finding necessary capital for different business operations or events; many sleepless nights; putting together the right committees to grow the business; and making sure the programs/services achieve the overall goal for the end user (consumer). However, now I have a smooth process and a couple of committees to address each function of the business. Developing a process and business flow is key!

As stated previously, Dream Redeemers is dedicated to empowering, inspiring and encouraging individuals to chase their dreams and fulfill their purpose through guided programs, educational and awareness workshops and strategic coaching. We work with people individually or in groups. As an organization, we believe in, and understand, the value of people. We want them to understand and realize that they exist for a specific purpose. Through our foundational program, “Journey to Purpose,” we provide people the tools necessary to begin the journey on discovering their purpose. I believe what sets us apart from others in this industry of “Coaching” is that we require you (the client) to start with deep self-awareness assessment! We feel it is important to truly understand who you are at your core! We want clients to understand their purpose and develop their “WHY.” Why do I want to start this business, why am I interested in this particular industry? Why do I want to get married? Once purpose is aligned with your “WHY” and is driven with passion, nothing can stop you.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I believe our city is an amazing place to do what I do. The essential theme or area of concern that my business provides solutions to is disparity and lack of hope. Chicago is a magnificent city. Yet, there are areas of the city where hopelessness, poverty and pain are very prevalent. Nowadays, people, at large, are losing hope in a variety of things such as life itself, the economy, individual dreams and in other people. Dream Redeemers wants to be a helping hand in changing the narrative regarding hopelessness in our city and surrounding suburbs.
