Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Albaracin.
Nick, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in a small apartment in the heart of Chicago with my father. My father is a talented guitar player and lover of all art forms.
His main passion was both movies and music. My father showed me great films, old and new. He taught me how to be connected to stories and characters that evoke emotion.
Eventually, he bought me a drum set and a video camera when I was 7 years old. From then on, through high school, I made funny videos with my friends. Then, things became more serious when I went to Columbia College Chicago to study film. There, I made many long-lasting friendships. I have collaborated with many different artists that have helped me with short films, feature films, music videos, and commercials.
Now, I tour nationally, playing the drums, with my rock band “Aeraco.” On my off time away from music, I shoot video content for bands, artists, and local businesses.
I’ve been carrying on the passion my father taught me ever since.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Every journey has its obstacles that you need to overcome. I have spent years developing my skills in film and with writing/performing songs with my band.
I have put so much time and energy into my music and in the beginning have played for bartenders. But that’s when I push harder.
I have also done freelance film work for people that have refused to pay me for my services. There have even been times when I worked really hard on projects that have never been seen by anyone.
You have to roll with the punches. When you really want something, you work hard to make it happen. Things don’t just come to you. You have to go out and get it.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Nick Albaracin – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I mainly utilize my skills as a director. I specialize in constructing stories and scheduling film shoots.
I am known for being able to have a vision and know how to execute it.
The thing that makes me most proud about my company is that there are many different types of artists that help out. I am very blessed to have talented friends that share the same vision.
What sets us apart from others is that we are willing to collaborate with clients to best achieve their own vision.
We keep it very fresh and free.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to expand naturally. Our main demographic is local bands and underground artists.
I want to be able to collaborate with bigger bands that have international attention.
Another goal of mine to be able to do more feature film work. Whether it is producing films, directing films, or helping promote bigger films by editing trailers and promotional videos.
Some major changes are that we are starting to incorporate web design and graphic design to the mix.
