Today we’d like to introduce you to Joey Ricely.

Joey , let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I had started the business just over 4 years ago, with 10 Knockerballs and a few helpers as a part-time venture for some of the youth athletes I coached to allow them the opportunity to gain work experience and generate income outside of the field.

After our first year, we had grown to over 300 Knockerballs 40+ staff members. Early on in the success of this local business, I had been approached by the parent company to come on board and expand the brand and work with other local operators on execution and business development.

After finding success, I was promoted to the Vice President and within 6 months of earning that role, I had purchased the entire company.

To date, as the only Trademarked entity, we have grown to over 300 locations worldwide and have become the dominant player in this niche industry. We have worked with celebrities such as; Cam Newton, Shaq, the Kardashians, Rob Gronkowski and many more.

We continue to grow and offer individuals, aspiring and current entrepreneurs the opportunity to open their own independent location backed by our blueprint for success.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With success comes recognition, challenges, and adversity.

However, it has been a pretty smooth journey to date. We are enjoying the growth and working with likeminded entrepreneurs. To give someone the gift of being their own boss is priceless.

I would say the biggest challenge we face is infringement from big-box retailers (Walmart and Amazon) using our Trademarked name for SEO purposes to sell knock-off and cheap versions of the product.

The reason this provides a challenge is that we become associated with brand recognition and it creates consumer confusion in the marketplace.

We pride ourselves on providing a quality product and customer service but receive calls all the time that they purchased online from these retailers believing they were buying our brand.

Knockerball USA – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are known for being the premier bubble soccer sporting equipment company in the world. Our footprint in the market is second to none.

Our company provides individuals the chance to become their own boss and run their own business through the system we’ve developed.

We provide the locations everything they need to run their business, a full turnkey platform.

The moment an individual signs on they get a slew of resources, to name a few; custom website, management software, their own digital dashboard, marketing material and 1 on 1 training and much more.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
There have been many but I think being recognized by inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. was special because it provides affirmation that we are providing value on a national stage.
