Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren and Laura Flynn.
Lauren and Laura, please share your story with us.
Lauren and I were constantly bumping into each other around town… the grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants – everywhere! We had known each other from around town but just as acquaintances. Lauren even joked one day about how often we would run into each other and I said: “Looks like we have the same taste in life!”. One day I was sick and decided to pick up soup to go. Lauren was having dinner at the same restaurant with her grandmother whom I had known for years. Nana said that I should join them instead and I’m glad I did! We had such a great time and Lauren said she knew from that dinner that she wanted to marry me and have kids (two things which she never thought she would ever want). The following day, we were going to a mutual friend’s party and decided to go together.
We spent the entire evening together and have never looked back. From the first moment that Lauren and I sat down to talk, really talk, we fell in love. The next few weeks (yes, weeks) were fast and furious and we were engaged 4 weeks later, married a few months after that and now changing the entire trajectory of our lives. Most people don’t get lucky enough to find this kind of love in their lives and trust me, we do not take it for granted. We literally cherish every moment that we share together. We are an easy-going couple who loves spending time with family and friends and, of course, our dogs!
Laura & Lauren married in May 2017, bought a house in Clarendon Hills and started L&L home.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is a lot more work than anyone can realize until you are in the thick of it. We are very lucky that we have such a supportive and loving community around us! We believe that truly doing the right thing, being the best you can be, showing compassion, and gratitude bring all those things in return to us – you can’t go wrong by doing the right thing!
What should we know about L&L home? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Laura: Prior to her experience in real estate, Laura managed a successful business in Hinsdale for the better part of 15 years. Customer service is ingrained in her and Laura brings that mentality to her real estate career. Her clients and their needs are of the utmost importance and she skillfully works to guide them through the real estate process while maintaining an approachable, easy-going relationship. She is known for being a firm yet fair leader and that personality lends itself well to the real estate business. Always having a passion for interiors, Laura has an eye for design that is valued when it comes to staging a home for sale or seeing past a previous owner’s personal taste and picturing yourself in the space. Laura is enthusiastic about people truly loving their home and she brings that excitement to her clients while making the entire process as effortless as possible.
Lauren: Lauren has been in the real estate business since early 2015. After working for a top agent in Hinsdale, Lauren knew she wanted to become an agent herself. Working in the town she grew up in, Lauren knows her town and the people in it. Lauren made many local connections throughout the years in Hinsdale and its surrounding suburbs. She has a variety of great local connections that she loves to share with all to keep everyone supporting local whenever possible. Lauren prides herself on being organized and efficient which is much appreciated by each and every client. She is hard-working and focused and makes the process of buying/selling real estate as easy as possible for her clients.
