Never Without Navy was launched in May of 2016 as a Chicago based fashion and lifestyle blog. Never Without Navy shares with its reader’s fashion finds, beauty advice and styling tips; the best “must see, go and do” places in Chicago and beyond; as well as a general lifestyle section where all other interests apply
Has it been a smooth road?
I would not equate my journey as a struggle but more as a huge learning curve. Going in to launching a blog, I never knew how much work it really took. I am one person that must wear many hats in order to run the blog.
Content creator, photographer, stylist, business manager, website manager, administrative manager and social media strategist to name a few! With that said, I have self-taught myself in so many of these areas and with that comes a huge sense of pride and accomplishment.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Never Without Navy – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My goal as a blogger is to share my love for attainable, affordable, effortless fashion and style. I am also passionate about exploring and sharing what I love about Chicago and wherever my travels take me. I have recently launched a beauty series on the blog called “Self-Care Sunday”-a series dedicated to hitting the pause button and taking the time out to treat ourselves and our body.
I want my blog to be a go-to place for inspiration in all of these areas. Any successful blogger will tell you that the key to your success is to stay authentic to who you are. That is the only thing that can set you apart from anyone else.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Well least is easy! The weather from November through April is not to be desired but I still would not choose to live anywhere else!
What do I like best? The list is endless! The lakefront, the skyline, the diverse neighborhoods, the arts, the food, the accessible size, the sports teams and the Midwest vibes truly make Chicago my favorite city. To be able to walk or run the lakefront, catch a baseball game at iconic Wrigley Field, have rooftop drinks in Bucktown, shop in Roscoe Village, dine al fresco in Lincoln Park, stroll the streets of the Gold Coast neighborhood, visit culturally rich Pilsen and watch neighborhoods emerge like Logan Square, are just some of the ways in which Chicago puts itself on the map as one of the best cities in the world!
