Necessity is the mother of taking chances. In 2013, the company I worked for was purchased and the new owners laid off all of the current employees. When I worked for larger corporations, I always strived for providing excellence in everything I did. Top notch customer service, marketing programs, etc. The challenge was I was reliant on others within the organization that didn’t necessarily feel the same way. I could have tried to find another marketing job and run into the same situation or start my own company and provide clients with the excellent personal service and great marketing solutions they deserve. I chose the latter.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Getting a business up and running has challenges. Figuring out the best processes while growing and making sure your internal clients and external clients are satisfied is challenging. You will make mistakes along the way. As long as you learn something from the mistakes and improve, mistakes can be a good thing. Its when you don’t learn from your mistakes it’s damaging.
It may be scary going out on your own at first, but it is extremely rewarding to see your client’s business grow and know you’ve helped. We are positively impacting the owner’s family and those of its employees. Growth for a business means new job opportunities, employment security, and overall well-being of the economy.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into NUVEW story. Tell us more about the business.
NUVEW has experience with website design and development, search engine optimization, social media management, content creation, and PPC. I am very proud of our website design and development. It is second to none. All of our websites are custom designed to match the business “personality”.
We have a sign at the office that states “Serve Others”. In a way, it is our motto and is what sets us apart. We are here to help our clients in any way possible. By helping our clients achieve their goals they succeed and a by product of their success we will too. Our client’s needs are always put first. We love what we do and believe it shows.
For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
