Meet Elena Mincheva of @Millionaire_nanny in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elena Mincheva.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always been good at writing. I worked as a journalist in Moscow, Russia and made interviews with celebrities. Then when I moved to the USA I wanted to conquer an American market and have a message which resonates with a lot of people. My role model is Ayn Rayn, the author of Atlas Shrugged who made a huge impact on American society and considered by the Library of Congress second most influencing book after Bible. Kind of impressive, isn’t it? She was born in the Soviet Union and immigrated to the USA in her late twenties then. I also moved to the US in my 30 and English wasn’t my first language. But I had a drive, confidence, and passion to tell the story that would touch everyone. I’m a deep thinker and like analyzing things so it’s always been easy for me to pick up profound things around. Soon I faced a severe reality and realized that I didn’t have enough English writing skills to compete with Native American writers in this competitive market. Besides that, I was waiting for my green card and went to work as a nanny as I love kids and it seems like a reasonable option. During working as a nanny for wealthy families I saw a lot of events which I was thinking would be helpful as a strong message for the middle class which I stated as love is enough! Money makes life convenient, but not necessarily brings happiness. That how I wrote the book Millionaire nanny and released it on my Instagram account. I increased my page from 0 to 20.5 K followers for 1 year and was interviewed by New York Post. My interview was third in traffic after politician stories about Trump and Obama. I was reposted by Star Trek (10 mln likes) on Facebook and got thousands of shares. I’m going to launch my book on Amazon and it has a big interest already. I think the secret is to be purely honest with your readers and followers and convey them profound messages which are important nowadays. We live in a society which pressures us to be more successful, work harder, earn more and more and never stop to provide the best for the kids. Nothing wrong with that but it causes a lot of stress same time and like I mentioned money, not necessarily equal happiness so I wish every parent feels that they are enough and love is enough. Now I’m an author of Millionaire nanny, influencer and popular Instagram blogger.

always wanted to do something big like tell the story which will resonate with everyone and make a huge impact. I have an inquisitive mind, observing and very good at details and storytelling and love interacting with people.

Has it been a smooth road?
Just liked I mentioned in the last answer, English wasn’t my first language and I was facing a hard time competing with native journalists and writers at the beginning but I never gave up and kept working on that – reading a lot, listening video, writing. My goal has been and I keep working on that nonstop to take it to the high flawless level to compete with leaders of the market.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the @Millionaire_nanny story. Tell us more about the business.
I gained 20.5 K on Instagram from o for 1 year. I have 80-120 organic comments per post. I wrote a book Millionaire nanny and going to launch it soon. There’s a huge audience interested in that and waiting for a launch, I receive emails every day with a question – Where can I buy your book? It’s amazing. Nevertheless, I published my debute book earlier in Russia Dolce Dolce Vita. Now it’s time for a next big achievement!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Oh absolutely! Nowadays influencers and bloggers make as huge impacts as TV commercial! Everything changes every day in our hectic time! Every day new trends appear. So nowadays marketing transformed from classic forms to innovative ones. Influencing marketing will only get bigger and get more impact in creating trends over the next 5-10 years. Influencers are new media power!
