Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Fox.
Tyler, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for photography. From the first time I picked up my dads old Minolta 35mm, I knew photographs could tell stories and captivated the imagination in a way words could not. What started as a hobby in high school and all through college became a profession when I started working with interior design, product work, and real estate when I moved to Chicago.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, I have had a couple amazing mentors that took me under their wings and helped shape and define my photography today. I was extremely fortunate to have met these outstanding individuals and wouldn’t be where I am today without their guidance.
Positive Image Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am technically an independent contractor but I work primarily with Positive Image Photography. We are a small group of photographers and editors that focus on real estate in the greater Chicagoland area. We pride ourselves in providing a hands-on and personal touch to photographing residential and commercial spaces alike.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I think the fact that I am doing what I love for a living is point enough for pride. I truly love what I do and put my heart and passion into it fully. I love being behind the camera and I get to do that every day.
