Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlo Oviedo.

Carlo, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I dont believe “smooth road” and entrepreneurship could even be used in the same sentence! Failing often is not only unavoidable but necessary in order to really build something meaningful. The most important thing is that we learn from those mistakes and use the lessons to fail, less. My entire career we’ve been faced with challenges like recruiting top talent, knowing when to grow and take the leap, how to finance growth, and most importantly how to sustain growth in a very competitive market.

Please tell us about Culture Studio.
We create custom branded merchandise for Business. We are mostly know for the work we do in the music industry for Tour and Retail. We have the honor of being the manufacture of choice for bands like Gun’s N Roses, The Weeknd, Drake, Kanye and Foo Fighters just to name a few. If one was to attend a concert of any of these Iconic names and purchased a T shirt or Hoodie etc, they were most likely manufactured right here in Chicago, with Culture Studio. I am most proud of the Culture that we’ve create with the company. The environment is one of purpose and everyone is aligned to achieve the same goal… Disrupt this classic manufacturing industry with New Generation energy.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have purchased as much real-estate as I could in the West Loop around 2007-2008 🙂 – But in business, I wouldn’t do anything different, the challenges and failures you make end up being the reason for your success in the future. I would just let fate takes its course.
